A HUGE Thank You to all that participated in our Skills Challenge and for all of the work and fundraising that led up to that day. The day went perfectly from the picture portion on through the challenge events.
I’m pleased to be able to share some of the results of the Skills Challenge now and will have more data to share soon.
The following teams had the highest point total for the Skills Challenge events at each league level;
Majors: Elks
Upper Minors: Angels
Lower Minors: Pirates
Great effort teams!!!! Each of these teams will go down in McIntire LL history and they will be listed on the Skills Challenge Plaque, which we have, and will be displayed as soon as we come up with the correct location for this and other important MLL recognitions.
Funds Raised;
While funds are still coming in, our estimate for total raised is $15,000.00!!!!!!!!!! MLL wins again!!!! Thank you all for hitting the pavement in this effort to keep our league fiscally strong to carry on our mission.
Special recognition should go to all but especially to the Lower Minors this year. The Lower minors had terrific participation in this and were second only to the Majors in total funds raised. That is fantastic and bodes well for the future of MLL. Great Job on that guys and girls!!!!!
Information regarding individuals that raised the most for MLL and the teams that raised the most will be sent out via email to the league early next week.
Still Need to turn in Skills Challenge Forms and Funds?
Skills Challenge Forms and Funds that did not get turned in on Saturday can be turned into the concession stand at McIntire whenever this is open. There is a yellow folder in the concessions stand that will be policed each day to insure that forms and funds get to the appropriate place. Should this arrangement not suit you feel free to email me; jmasloff@lynchroofing.com; and I will make other arrangements.
Players are also welcome to continue to fundraise for the league for another week. And get credit for additional amounts pledged and collected. The window of time for fundraising was narrow this year and I apologize for that and the fact that some information did not get distributed fast enough for many. Certainly room for progress there.
Photo Note:
Some teams and individuals did not have their photos taken due to the extreme cloudy weather that set in near the end of the day on Saturday. If your team is in that category please be on the lookout for email from your team manager about make-up dates when TSS Photography will be coming to the park to take pictures before the games of those teams that did not have that opportunity before.
Special Thanks!!!:
I would like to formally thank Lori Marshall, Kelley MacDougall, Maddie Deal, Abbey Fischman, Patrick Scharf, Kathleen Bunch Meneses, and Chris Miller for all of their tireless help before, during, and after our MLL Skills Challenge this year!!!!!! The perfection of the Skills Challenge day is on you all.
Thanks All and Let’s Play Ball!!!!!!!!!!
